Carl is the co-founder and CEO of Theseus, a company building a retrofit module for UAVs that replaces GPS with computer vision. Carl started Theseus seven months ago, in that time the team has gone from zero to shipping completed hardware modules to paying customers in SOCOM and elsewhere. Theseus’ system weighs under 250g and can offer drift-free positioning and cold start in GPS denied environments reliably even for flights 100km+. Theseus is the first ever defense technology company accepted to the world’s most competitive start-up incubator: YCombinator. 

Prior to Theseus, Carl studied mechanical engineering at Stanford University and has designed mass production parts at Apple and Tesla.
